I've been struggling on what to call this kind of "look" for decor. I've been calling them contemporary cottage. Would you folks help me out? The 2nd one reminds me of shabby chic, almost a french look to it, how about French cottage.

Do a search on etsy for Cottage Chic and you will see a lot of similar things come up.

I get the feeling of Contemporary French. The colors are subtle French and design is contemporary.

I think you're right on the money with "Contemporary Cottage." As I read "Contemporary Cottage" I knew exactly what it would look like before I even got to the pics. I wouldn't change it. Maria :)
Cottage Style or Cottage Whimsy is what I think of when I see these types of textures.
I like comtemporary cottage too...or how about urban cottage? Def. cottagey feel but with updated colors.
