Our intentions were to have this place pretty much done by today, but things happened in life that got in the way! So, it will be next week. Here's some update photos of progress, albeit slower than hoped.
You can see here we are in process of enclosing the oven. Sadly, we will have to resort to a drop ceiling in this section to hide the ugly plaster. Roof leakage over the years has had its tole on the ceiling.
Here's two photos of the back where tin ceiling was still attached. This is tin that we painted glossy white. It was tin color when we purchased the building, we think the white looks so much nicer and brightens up the space!
As you can see, we still have work to the walls to do back here, that's coming in our next work trip!
We are so ready for this work in progress to be complete. Our goal is to be done this coming week. There IS light at the end of the tunnel!

It looks like it is going to worth all your effort-Beautiful!!!!! Please keep us posted. Happy for you!!!!!!!
Hi Denise:) Yes, I can see that light at the end of your tunnel. I think the drop ceiling is an excellent cosmetic fix. I'll bet the residents are getting anxious to have you open. You're doing a great job gal:) Hugs~Carol
I love the ceiling done in the gloss white! I will be so worth it when you have this all done and behind you. 2011 is going to be a great year.
Looking good. The last photo shows a great view to the front door. This will be gorgeous when completed. Isn't it always the mantra, "longer to finish than expected." :)
You will be able to look back on all this and say "we did it."
Hugs
